About the role
Zendesk is seeking a dynamic and experienced tech-focused digital, performance, or growth marketer to join our Marketing Technology team. This role is a blend of strategic oversight and functional ownership, where the ideal candidate will coordinate and manage the marketing technology suite supporting our Digital and Performance Marketing teams.
This role involves coordinating closely with the Digital Marketing team, Marketing Operations, and external vendors to ensure that the martech stack that supports performance and digital marketing initiatives is optimized to meet our business objectives while also providing a vision for future growth and technological integration.
Key responsibilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing technology strategy that aligns with our digital and performance marketing objectives, ensuring the right tools are in place to advance key use cases.
Take the lead on key digital and performance marketing technology tools, ensuring they are integrated, optimized, and leveraged to their full potential across personalization, automation, and cross-channel campaigns.
Create and maintain a strategic roadmap for performance marketing technology, identifying opportunities for growth and rationalization, while integrating new features to ensure our platforms evolve with market trends.
Ensure SEO platforms are fully leveraged and provide insights that enhance paid media strategies, facilitating cross-channel performance analysis to optimize the balance between organic and paid strategies, improving ROI.
Conduct regular audits of the marketing technology stack to find opportunities for improvement, cost savings, and system upgrades, ensuring scalability to meet growing campaign demands.
Drive vendor management activities, including contract negotiations, renewals, and ongoing collaboration with platform owners critical to digital and performance marketing success (e.g., Adobe, Marketo, Salesforce).
Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and best practices across all marketing technology activities.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Marketing, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
Demonstrated ability in a tech-focused marketing role, with a consistent record of managing marketing technology platforms and tools.
Visionary attitude with the ability to create and implement strategic roadmaps for marketing technology.
Strong understanding of digital, performance, or growth marketing strategies and how technology supports these initiatives
Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
Proven ability to lead projects, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical collaborators.
Experience with data visualization and reporting tools.
Knowledge of data privacy regulations and compliance requirements related to marketing technology.
