About You and The Role
The Enterprise Systems team is responsible for the operating system of Zipline – we develop critical applications that enable the manufacturing, maintenance, and service of our drone delivery system. Our team is currently creating and improving systems to optimize various aspects of our operations across the business, such as within finance, supply chain, inventory, manufacturing, maintenance, and engineering tools.
We're seeking a seasoned Senior Technical Product Manager to spearhead our ERP system's strategic integration across various applications, optimizing material flow from design to manufacturing and service. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with software engineers to architect solutions that propel our business growth. Your deep understanding of ERP systems will be pivotal in streamlining processes like demand planning, enhancing efficiency, and facilitating scalability. As a leader, you'll drive the holistic understanding of ERP functionalities, leveraging them to empower our business operations and drive strategic initiatives forward.

What You'll Do
- Strategically drive the integration of ERP applications, fostering a cohesive system that optimizes material flow from design through manufacturing and service.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers and business stakeholders, to architect solutions that align with overarching business objectives.
- Lead efforts to holistically understand ERP functionalities, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, scalability, and business impact.
- Guide the development of solutions that streamline processes such as procure to pay, leveraging your deep understanding of ERP systems.
- Drive architectural decisions that enable the ERP system to support business growth and global scalability, positioning it as a key enabler for future strategic initiatives.
- Navigate the transition towards custom applications while effectively integrating with the current open-source ERP system, ensuring seamless functionality and future scalability.
What You'll Bring
- 8+ years of Product experience building ERP solution, ideally leveraging custom application developmentIn-depth knowledge of ERP functionalities, including but not limited to procure to pay processes, material flow optimization, and manufacturing workflows.
- Strong technical background, with expertise in object-oriented languages such as Python, distributed event streaming technologies such as Kafka, and system integrationsProficiency in data analytics and automation using SQL, Mode, Snowflake, etc. for analysis or modeling dynamic systems.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling effective collaboration with business stakeholders to understand complex problems and deliver high-impact solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate rapidly changing environments, with a flexible and adaptable mindset geared towards continuous improvement and innovation.
- Track record of owning and launching products from inception to release, coupled with a positive, can-do attitude and a passion for driving progress within the ERP domain.
- Collaborative experience working closely with software engineers to design and develop custom applications to enable business outcomes
What Else You Need to Know
The starting cash range for this role is $160,000 - $200,000. Please note that this is a target, starting cash range for a candidate who meets the minimum qualifications for this role. The final cash pay for this role will depend on a variety of factors, including a specific candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, working location, and projected impact. The total compensation package for this role may also include: equity compensation; overtime pay; discretionary annual or performance bonuses; sales incentives; benefits such as medical, dental and vision insurance; paid time off; and more.
