As an official YouTube Measurement Program Partner, Meta for Business Partner, and TikTok for Business Partner, the company leverages patented machine learning and AI technology (Cognition AI) to offer brands and agencies more precise and transparent brand safety and suitability activation and measurement solutions on scaled platforms. The company is headquartered in Los Angeles, California, with additional locations across the globe.

What you’ll do:

  • Code software to analyze data for useful insights using the latest in artificial intelligence and machine learning tools and methods.

  • Leverage SQL, Python, JavaScript, and related data engineering technologies to enhance ZEFR’s proprietary distributed systems designed to organize, track, and manage massive amounts of online media data.

  • Develop scalable solutions to amass the information needed for planning, analysis, and decision-making.

  • Build and maintain production machine learning infrastructure.

  • Construct, program, and maintain data ingestion systems from external data sources utilizing ZEFR’s technology stack (i.e., Python, ETL, JavaScript, Tableau, Birst, MicroStrategy, HQL, SQL, Spark, Splunk, Docker, SSH, GIT, Jenkins, AWS: S3, EMR, EC2, RDS, Redshift, etc.) Build reliable and dependable ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) data transmission methods, as well as troubleshooting complex issues in distributed systems.

  • Develop and launch new OLTP (Online Transactional Processing) and OLAP (Online Analytical Processing) data models and developing code designed to migrate data from Amazon Redshift to Amazon RDS (Relational Database Service).

  • Design and validate test cases for safe code fixes, as well as participating in the design, development, and maintenance of metrics and reports needed to drive key business decisions.

  • Utilize data processing platforms and participate in the lifecycle of applications and systems implementations, including design, development, deployment, and continuous improvement solutions.

What we’re looking for:

  • Master’s degree, or equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field plus:

  • One (1) year of Data Engineering, Software Development, or related experience: promoting data driven decisions and data products; designing and developing data and analytics platforms; driving, designing, and implementing test automation solutions; guiding testing process for quality engineers; ensuring testability of all newly developed features; performing test executions to ensure functionality and performance; defining and validating software requirements and user story acceptance criteria; planning and executing system acceptance and regression tests for releases; and working in agile/scrum environments.
