We build software to support these missions, including providing battlefield information to allies, identifying malign activity, and helping the US deter and deescalate conflict.

What You'll Do

Apply cybersecurity best-practices to operationalize data collection while managing attribution and internet fingerprints
Identify opportunities for automation and improvement of collection applications
Develop innovative solutions for data collection from various online sources
Collaborate side-by-side with our engineers, leveraging your communication skills
Write technical documentation

What we look for

Experience in dark web data research using tools like Tor and the Onion Browser
Meticulous and paranoid about digital identity tracking
Knowledge of fundamentals of cybersecurity and operational security
Strong ethics for handling of sensitive data and adherence to data privacy rules and compliance standards
Availability for up to 15% travel time
Excellent communication, teamwork skills, and project ownership
Experience with a high-level programming language such as Python, Node.js, Java, Ruby or similar
U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access U.S. only data systems
Willingness to go through a security clearance process

About the role

Vannevar Labs is expanding from one product (Decrypt) to an ecosystem of products. One of these products supports information operations and electronic warfare. In the short-term, you will lead intelligence collection of the dark web sources relevant to our customer's missions. You will interface with third-party data vendors to compliment first-party collection and own the data collection and ingest process. In the long term, you'll drive the technical vision for cybersecurity as we expand our companies footprint into cyber domain operations.
