Provides speech-language therapy to patients by evaluating their function and applying appropriate treatments to improve or restore communication skills.

• Participates in interdisciplinary team efforts, community education, and clinical training of students.
• Requires a Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology, current Connecticut license, and eligibility for ASHA Certification.
• Possesses strong verbal and written English communication skills and basic computer proficiency.
• Evaluates patients, develops individualized treatment plans, administers therapy, and educates patients and families for functional independence.
• Determines treatment efficacy, documents according to guidelines, and collaborates with healthcare providers.
• Supervises students, attends continuing education, and participates in departmental or community in-services.
• Adheres to professional ethics, maintains safety, and may provide cross-site coverage.
