• The Clinical Risk Manager oversees risk identification, evaluation, investigation, and corrective actions related to patient safety and liability issues.
• Conducts risk assessments, medical record reviews, and investigations of liability cases, providing reports to legal counsel and leadership.
• Provides education on risk management practices, documentation, and safety to staff, providers, and administration.
• Performs risk surveys, analyzes data for trends, and recommends corrective measures to reduce risks across departments.
• Maintains claims files, assists in litigation support, and collaborates with departments to promote safe practices.
• Requires RN license, BSN, 3+ years risk management experience, clinical background, and strong interpersonal skills.
• Preferred certification in risk management and familiarity with healthcare delivery systems.
