Swift Navigation is looking for an outstanding Senior Accountant responsible for accounting functions that include full-cycle month-end close, accounts receivable and payable, payroll, and tax compliance. This includes managing the day to day accounting, payroll, and monthly close process. In this role you will play a key role in developing and establishing policies and procedures for the accounting team.
We are looking for someone who can work from our San Francisco, CA office, minimum 2 days per week. Aa strategic thinker who is passionate about making an impact at a fast-growing company. You seek to understand business drivers and KPIs. You are the ultimate team player who is able to collaborate and build effective relationships throughout the company. You are curious, take initiative, have a bias for action and possess strong organizational and communication skills.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Wear all hats related to accounting/manage day-to-day accounting operations
- Develop and improve accounting processes and internal controls
- Prepare monthly Journal Entries and Balance Sheet Reconciliations
- Prepare Customer Invoices and Manage Accounts Receivable Balance
- Manage Payables and Expense Reporting
- Manage Payroll
- Manage annual tax filings and sales tax compliance
- Build relationships at all levels of the organization
Required Skills/Abilities:
- 4+ years of Accounting Experience
- Solid understanding of GAAP
- Technology / SaaS and high-growth start-up experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required, Masters degree a plus
- Solid NetSuite experience a plus as well as Bill.com, Xero, Expensify, Divy and Trinet
- Excellent Excel skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized
- Superb communication skills, both written & interpersonal
- Passionate desire to learn & for continuous improvement
- Ultimate team player with excellent communication skills; can establish credibility, build consensus, and partner cross-functionally without direct authority
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $95,000 - $130,000 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
