The Opportunity
We are looking for a People Operations Specialist to play a crucial technical role supporting the Manager of Global Payroll and Benefits in the administration, assessment, and management of payroll transactions, benefits practices, and HRIS processes for USA and Canada. Additionally, this role will support the People & Culture team in other generalist practices that help shape the culture we want to see at Prenuvo. This is a fully remote role. What You’ll Do
As our People Operations Specialist with a deep focus on Payroll, Benefits and HR Data Management, you will engage in the following:
Payroll & Benefits
- Process payroll updates accurately and timely, including new hires, terminations, and pay rate changes
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll and wage laws
- Maintain and update employee records promptly, ensuring proper authorization
- Generate payroll, tax, and deduction reports; prepare and file tax reports; manage year-end reporting
- Address employee inquiries and complaints regarding payroll matters
- Conduct regular payroll audits and reconciliations for accuracy
- Provide detailed information and guidance on benefits plans, addressing employee queries and issues
- Ensure compliance with benefits regulations, staying updated on laws like ACA, ERISA, and HIPAA
- Generate reports on benefits enrollments, costs, and usage, analyzing trends for strategic planning
- Coordinate and manage the annual open enrollment process, including preparing communications and conducting informational meetings
- Educate employees on available benefits programs through new hire orientation and ongoing sessions
HR Data Management:
- Maintain accurate employee records, including personnel files and HR databases
- Generate HR reports and analytics to support decision-making
- Ensure legal compliance and produce reports for HR analytics and KPIs, such as turnover rates and departmental growth
- Update company policies and FAQ documents in collaboration with Sr. People Business Partners for the USA and Canada
- Organize, maintain, and update internal databases with digital personnel records, including leaves and other relevant employee information
Ad Hoc HR Administrative Duties:
- Handle HR documentation and record-keeping
- Assist in HR-related projects and initiatives as needed
What You’ll Bring
- 1-3 years of experience in HR administration, including onboarding operations
- Education in Human Resources Management or relevant field
- Ability to handle employee queries with confidentiality and provide support in investigations and pre-employment screenings
- Capability to generate HR reports and analytics to support decision-making processes, including compliance reporting, turnover rates, and departmental growth. Excellent Excel skills is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills to facilitate multiple aspects of onboarding and HR functions across a rapidly growing international company
- Familiarity with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), various HR tools/modern applications and platforms is a plus
- A proactive attitude and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, evolving environment

- The base salary for this role ranges from $60,000 - $68,000 in local currency depending upon experience
