About Us:

We're on a mission to make it possible for every person, team, and company to be able to tailor their software to solve any problem and take on any challenge. Computers may be our most powerful tools, but most of us can't build or modify the software we use on them every day. At Notion, we want to change this with focus, design, and craft.

We've been working on this together since 2016, and have customers like Pixar, Mitsubishi, Figma, Plaid, Match Group, and thousands more on this journey with us. Today, we're growing fast and excited for new teammates to join us who are the best at what they do. We're passionate about building a company as diverse and creative as the millions of people Notion reaches worldwide.

Notion is an in person company, and currently requires its employees to come to the office for two Anchor Days (Mondays & Thursdays) and requests that employees spend the majority of their week in the office (including a third day).

About The Role:

Notion has a customer community unlike any other in software. Our community is made up of tens of millions of passionate users who use Notion daily in their work and personal lives. At Notion, the community is at the heart of our product, and as a Global Community Program Manager, you’ll have the opportunity to build out a fun and engaging online experience for our community. We’re looking for someone to own the online experience, and build out our online hub and events tool to help us scale our engagement efforts all over the world!

What you’ll do

  • Own the online community experience, from initial discovery, engagement and connection, to further involvement across our programs
  • Work closely with the research team to understand and put together a customer user journey for how users want to interact and get involved with the Notion community
  • Build and map out a online community experience for our customers to discover, engage, and benefit from the Notion community
  • Define an MVP for launch, working with multiple cross-functional stakeholders (internal and external) to build out the online community experience
  • Evaluate various 3rd party software providers and tools to host an online platform and events tool where customers can connect online and in-person
  • Launch the product; executing on a project plan that captures both program and product work required to ensure on time launch and continuously iterating and rolling out new exciting features that continue to drive engagement (gamification, badging, rich text, etc.)
  • Manage day-to-day operations of online engagement, creating playbooks on online engagement strategies that encourage our community to continue to share their stories, knowledge, and build real human connection
  • Measure the impact of your efforts through growth and adoption of the platform, sentiment, and engagement, continuously iterating to reach even more of our users around the world

Skills to bring

  • 7+ years experience in project/program/product management
  • Direct experience with 3rd party event or community platforms (Circle, Insided, Khoros, Bevy, Splash)
  • Strong program or product management skills, with ability to define scope and execute on tight timelines
  • B.A./B.S. degree preferred, or equivalent experience

Nice to haves:

  • Experience conducting user research or understanding customer feedback at scale
  • Experience working on a global community

We hire talented and passionate people from a variety of backgrounds because we want our global employee base to represent the wide diversity of our customers. If you’re a builder at heart, share our company values, and enthusiastic about making software toolmaking ubiquitous, we want to hear from you.
