Core Responsibilities

MotherDuck is looking for a Part Time Office Manager to help our Amsterdam operations team. In this role you will:

  • Maintain a fun-but-professional and organized office environment.

  • Cultivate and manage relationships with vendors, building management, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient facility operations.

  • Oversee the Amsterdam office including:

    • Serve as primary liaison with landlord and contractors for maintenance, repairs, and cleaning.

    • Manage office security system and building facility services.

    • Ensure timely repairs, tracking, and communication for effective issue resolution.

  • Manage office amenities and office supplies such as:

    • Order and maintain stock of snacks, drinks, and coffee.

    • Oversee lunch ordering, setup, and coordinate cleanup.

    • Maintain proper inventory levels of any other office supplies.

  • Serve as a friendly, approachable point of contact:

    • Address employee requests and concerns.

    • Create an environment conducive to optimal work performance.

    • Provide a welcoming first impression for visiting candidates and stakeholders.

  • Help come up with execute internal fun activities, social dinners and external events

  • Collaborate with HR on:

    • Office policy oversight and management.

    • Employee onboarding processes.

  • Manage office finances:

    • Handle office ordering.

    • Complete office expense reports, including receipt tracking.

Requirements

  • 1 year of relevant work experience

  • Be proactive and take initiative - the right candidate will have a high degree of ownership, work independently based on best judgment of priorities, be flexible, and have a positive, service-oriented attitude.

  • Demonstrated experience with a strong attention to detail and being highly organized.

  • Demonstrated experience with innovative problem-solving skills.

  • Experience working collaboratively in teams.

  • Proficiency with the latest office technologies and applications.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. We do our day to day work in English. Dutch is needed for local communication.

  • This is an in-office position. Flexible hours possible.
