About the Role

Reporting to the VP of Hosting Services, we are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Architect
to design, implement, and optimize cloud solutions on AWS. This role involves architecting
scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud environments while ensuring high availability and
performance. The AWS Cloud Architect will also be responsible for defining and controlling
processes over the AWS platform, setting up proactive monitoring, managing cloud cost
optimization strategies, and enhancing system reliability.
This function involves collaboration and interaction between various departments, including
software engineering, operations, support, and finance, to ensure efficient cloud resource usage
and cost management.


What you’ll do

● Review existing and design and implement AWS cloud solutions that are scalable,
secure, and cost-effective.
● Develop architecture best practices, frameworks, and standards for cloud deployments.
● Define and enforce governance policies and operational processes for cloud resource
management, as establish standards for provisioning, usage, and decommissioning of
AWS services.
● Define, manage, and improve cloud management processes to enhance security,
efficiency, and cost control.
● Set up and maintain automated alerts and alarms for system health, security incidents,
and performance anomalies.
● Continuously optimize system performance, ensuring minimal downtime and fast
response times.
● Define and implement Operating system (OS) version control policies, ensuring
compatibility, security, and performance optimization.
● Implement strategies to minimize costs and define cloud cost management policies and
best practices to ensure efficient resource utilization, monitoring cloud consumption at
the account level to detect, investigate, and manage anomalies alerts and unplanned spikes.
● Ensure compliance with industry regulations internal security and SOC 2/ISMS
standards.
● Work closely with DevOps, engineering, and operations/support to align cloud strategies
with business goals.
● Provide technical guidance and training on AWS best practices.


Necessarily skills

● 5+ years of experience in AWS cloud architecture, engineering, or administration.
● Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and high-level executives alike

● Leadership abilities at both strategic and tactical levels.
● Knowledge of broader cloud provider tools and billing mechanics like AWS/GCP/Azure.
● Experience in working with varied cross-functional teams
● Ability to operate at multiple altitudes, and prioritize workload across multiple tasks.
● Remarkable analytical skills and ability to distill raw data into meaningful insights
● Attention to detail, strong verbal and communication skills.


Required education and/or certifications

● Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology,
Engineering, or a related field.
● AWS Solution architect (Highly desired)
