What We’re Looking For:

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Director, Enterprise Risk Management to join our company. In this pivotal role, you will lead the development and implementation of risk management strategies that align with our business objectives and regulatory requirements. You will work closely with executive leadership to identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks to ensure the stability and growth of our innovative financial solutions. This position requires a proactive approach to risk management, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex risk concepts to diverse stakeholders.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $180,000 - $225,000 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
This is a remote position.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive risk management strategies and frameworks.
  • Identify, assess, and prioritize potential risks to the organization, including financial, operational, and strategic risks.
  • Oversee first line creation and maintenance of risk registers, ensuring accurate and up-to-date risk documentation.
  • Work with first line risk managers to implement an enterprise management program.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate risk management practices into business processes and decision-making.
  • Monitor and analyze emerging risks, industry trends, and regulatory changes to ensure proactive risk mitigation.
  • Prepare and present risk reports to executive leadership and provide insights and recommendations.
  • Develop and manage a team of risk management professionals, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Continuously improve risk management processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or commensurate work experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in risk management, preferably within the FinTech or financial services industry.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful risk management teams and strategies.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry best practices related to risk management.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and trends.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey risk concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Knowledge of Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) tools.
  • Understanding of relevant industry regulations and frameworks (e.g., COSO ERM, ISO 31000, etc.).
