Your role
As an HR Manager, you are an operational, business savvy, HR generalist responsible for providing employee services that will help & scale our organization for our Philippine employees.
As Dialpad's first Philippines-based HR Manager, you will be a valued partner in all aspects of the employee experience, including employee relations, onboarding and offboarding, HR operations, recruiting, benefits administration, process and policy development, and compliance.
We are seeking someone who has a passion for getting things done, takes ownership, has great attention to detail, has a strong understanding of local labor laws and is committed to being a valuable resource to employees. You will collaborate with HR colleagues and leaders to support and implement effective talent strategies and programs, ensuring employees have the resources and support needed to excel in their roles.
You will build deep, trusted relationships that allow you to foster a high-performing and engaged workforce and have a lasting impact on the organization and team. The candidate must be available to work during US Pacific Time business hours (the night shift in the Philippines) and have flexibility to accommodate interactions with team members based in different time zones across the APAC region as needed.

The right candidate will gain the trust and confidence of executive leaders and management staff. They will demonstrate highly effective communication, organization, and will champion the company’s core values.
- Go-to HR point of contact for the Philippines.
- Own and administer Philippine employees’ lifecycle processes including onboarding, offboarding, personnel changes, leaves of absences, and compliance.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health benefits, perks, and wellness.
- Develop, manage and improve key HR processes and workflows to keep our organization running smoothly.
- Build strong relationships and become a trusted advisor to local business leaders and managers of Philippines based employees.
- Provide HR guidance to colleagues, leaders and employees on local employment practices, regulations, and policies and procedures when appropriate.
- Provide expert advice and coaching employees when appropriate. Guide managers through performance management, employee relations issues and facilitate resolution.
- Ensure that all employee matters are handled with consistency and fairness, complying to local labor laws.
- Lead new hire onboarding sessions.
- Administer and rollout programs related to company initiatives and organization-specific programs.
- Partner with People Experience teams (i.e., Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Total Rewards, People Operations) to develop and implement talent management and employee engagement programs, including conducting training sessions as needed.
- Partner with the business to facilitate talent reviews focused on employee growth and development and organizational health priorities.
- Provide compensation guidance to leaders for salary actions, including the annual salary review, promotions, and job re-leveling situations.
- Develop an understanding of key business objectives (OKRs), key performance indicators, and analyze trends (retention and engagement) to inform better programs and policies for local leaders.
- Contribute to various cross-team and/or cross-organizational HR projects.
Skills you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- 7+ years of progressive HR experience with specific expertise in compliance, Philippine labor laws, performance management, compensation guidance, and employee relations for high-growth technology companies.
- Strong knowledge of local legal requirements related to the day-to-day management of employees, employee relations, reducing legal risks, and ensuring labor and regulatory compliance.
- Previous experience working in a SaaS company preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to learn business objectives quickly and influence talent and org decisions that impact business outcomes.
- A self-motivated and results-oriented individual who consistently exhibits optimism, empathy, adaptability, persistence, and accountability.
- Strong G-Suite skills, including building Google Slides presentations.
- Strong program management skills.
- Demonstrated resourcefulness and problem-solving skills, consistently finding solutions and answers, even under challenging circumstances with limited information.
- Proficient analytical skills with the ability to take direct ownership of interpreting data and using data to recommend solutions and influence decision-making.
- Experience building trusted relationships across the HR function, executives, managers, and employees.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on tact and diplomacy.
- Strong work ethic, integrity, and personal responsibility.
