As the Director, Website & Digital Strategy, you will lead the development and execution of the organization's web strategy, playing a pivotal role in enhancing its online presence, user experience, and digital performance. Your primary focus will be to drive web initiatives that align with business objectives, optimize user engagement, and increase online conversions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement, implement data-driven strategies, and ensure the company's web presence remains competitive and innovative.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Web Strategy Development:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive web strategy that aligns with the company's overall business goals and objectives.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders from marketing, product, design, and IT departments to understand their needs and incorporate them into the web roadmap.
    • Conduct regular market and competitive analysis to identify industry trends and opportunities for web innovation.
  • User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) Optimization:
    • Advocate for user-centric design principles, ensuring that all web assets provide an intuitive and seamless user experience.
    • Work closely with the design team to create visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces for web and mobile applications.
    • Analyze user behavior and feedback to identify pain points and areas for improvement, implementing A/B testing and other strategies to optimize conversions.
  • Web Analytics and Performance Tracking:
    • Utilize web analytics tools (e.g., Amplitude, Google Analytics) to monitor website performance, track user behavior, and identify key performance indicators (KPIs).
    • Generate reports on web metrics, highlighting insights and trends to measure the success of web initiatives and make data-driven decisions.
  • Global Web Testing:
    • Partner with global web engineers and developers to test and perform quality assurance of our company's website to ensure its functionality, performance, and user experience meet the highest standards.
    • Identify and report bugs, issues, and usability concerns, working closely with the development and design teams to ensure all problems are addressed and resolved promptly.
  • Ecommerce/PLG Operations:
    • Manage the overall functionality and performance of the ecommerce portions of the website, ensuring it is up-to-date, user-friendly, and fully operational.
    • Monitor website traffic, sales, and conversion rates, identifying opportunities for improvement and growth.
    • Monitor website PLG sales performance and revenue metrics, providing regular reports and insights to the management team.
  • SEO and Content Strategy:
    • Partner with the digital marketing and SEO teams to develop and implement SEO strategies that enhance organic search rankings and drive web traffic.
    • Coordinate with content creators to ensure the web content aligns with SEO best practices and supports the overall web strategy.
  • Mobile and Responsive Design:
    • Stay updated on mobile design trends and best practices to ensure the website is optimized for mobile users and provides a seamless responsive experience across devices.
  • Web Technology and Platform Management:
    • Evaluate and recommend web technologies and platforms that align with the organization's web strategy and business requirements.
    • Oversee the management and maintenance of the company's web infrastructure, ensuring security, scalability, and performance.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience (typically 8+ years) in web strategy, digital marketing, or a related field, with a track record of successful web projects and campaigns.
  • Strong understanding of UX/UI best practices, SEO, web analytics, and digital marketing principles.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams effectively.
  • Proficiency in web technologies, content management systems (CMS), and web analytics tools (e.g., Amplitude, Google Analytics).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management abilities.
  • Knowledge of mobile design trends and responsive web development.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate web strategies and initiatives to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • A passion for staying ahead of web trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in the digital landscape.
