About the company

Companies want to train their own large models on their own data. The current industry standard is to train on a random sample of your data, which is inefficient at best and actively harmful to model quality at worst. There is compelling research showing that smarter data selection can train better models faster—we know because we did much of this research: we are veterans with deep ML expertise from FAIR@MetaAI, MosaicML, Google DeepMind, Apple, Twitter, Snorkel AI, Cruise, and Amazon. Given the high costs of training, this presents a huge market opportunity. We founded DatologyAI to translate this research into tools that enable enterprise customers to identify the right data on which to train, resulting in better models for cheaper.

Our team has pioneered deep learning data research, built startups, and created tools for enterprise ML.

We have raised over $11.5M from top-tier investors including Amplify Partners, Radical Ventures, Conviction Capital, Jeff Dean, Yann LeCun, Geoff Hinton, Adam D’Angelo to help make our vision a reality.

About the role

We're looking for an experienced full-time Talent Acquisition Lead to join our core Datology AI team. As a founding member of our People team, you will partner closely with our founders and lead our recruitment efforts across technical and business roles.

As a Talent Acquisition Lead, you will:

  • Be the first full-time recruiter at DatologyAI and play a vital role in scaling our organization.

  • Implement and scale end-to-end recruitment processes for all roles, from technical to non-technical roles.

  • Lead the recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, and managing the candidate interview experience.

  • Ensure that the recruitment process is equitable and supports building a diverse and inclusive team.

  • Be the first point of contact for candidates and ensure thorough alignment between new hires and DatologyAI.

  • Update the applicant tracking system (Ashby) with accurate candidate notes and pipeline information.

About You

There are a few specific things we’ll be looking for that will help you succeed in this role:

  • Experience as a full life cycle recruiter at a fast-growing startup with a focus on strong sourcing skills.

  • Minimum of 2 years focused on technical recruiting (recruiting ML talent a plus).

  • Not afraid to be hands-on with sourcing, scheduling, and recruiting top talent.

  • Experience in designing, scaling, and rolling out recruiting processes.

  • Excitement to take ownership of building an entire recruiting function.

  • Uses a data-driven approach and gets excited by meeting and exceeding goals.

  • Possesses emotional intelligence to close candidates with the right balance of consideration, transparency, and drive.

  • Interest in establishing equitable recruiting processes and a desire to go the extra mile to recruit non-traditional candidates.

  • A natural curiosity for the AI industry, specifically around cutting-edge research within the data space.
