Coalition is looking for a Principal Product Designer, Broker Experience to join our growing Product Design team, reporting to the Head of Product Design. As a strategic design leader, you will spearhead the user experience for Broker-facing products. Collaborating with designers, Product Managers, Engineers, and Business partners, you will identify customer problems and opportunities in the insurance domain, shape the long-term UX vision and own the end-to-end design process to deliver innovative product solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end Broker experiences, from inception to execution.
- Innovate solutions for complex design challenges, grounded in a deep understanding of user needs and business goals.
- Deliver elegant, intuitive design solutions elevating the overall product experience.
- Inform product strategy and work with cross-functional partners to plan and prioritize product roadmaps that will solve user problems and business needs.
- Collaborate closely with engineers to ensure seamless implementation while preserving design vision.
- Plan and conduct user research to identify and validate user problems and test hypotheses.
- Take a Service Design mindset to solve user pain points, considering all of their daily workflows.
- Utilize product analytics and data to inform decisions.
- Contribute to evolving Coalition’s Design System and visual design language.
- Champion design thinking, inspire creativity, and foster a culture of feedback.
- Manage multiple projects concurrently, working in a fast-paced agile process.
- Drive team-wide impact through mentorship, fostering a culture of growth and collaboration.
Your Background:
- 7+ years of hands-on product design and UX experience, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional product experiences and a portfolio of successful design projects.
- Experience designing B2B products, showcasing an understanding of enterprise-level user needs and workflows. Bonus points for experience designing tools that optimize user workflows and enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Data-driven and able to utilize a mix of qualitative user research and quantitative data to inform decisions and design solutions.
- High standard for design craft, with expertise in visual design to enhance overall product aesthetics.
- Outstanding communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Highly skilled in Figma and other industry-standard design and prototyping software.
- Knowledgeable in HTML/CSS, front-end technologies, and Design Systems to bridge the gap between design and implementation.
- Naturally curious with a drive to push boundaries and explore the possibilities, thriving in ambiguity.
- Methodical with a strong attention to detail.
- Self-directed and action-oriented, excelling in a fast-paced startup environment.
Compensation
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The US base salary for this position ranges from $175,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $230,000/year in our highest geographic market. Consistent with applicable laws, an employee's pay within this range is based on a number of factors, which include but are not limited to relevant education, skills, job-related knowledge, qualifications, work experience, credentials, and/or geographic location. Your recruiter can share more on target salary for your location during the interview process. Coalition, Inc. reserves the right to modify this range as needed.
